Checkbook Advanced Setup
Printing Options
The Checkbook Advanced Setup will allow you to add special text to checks. From
the Checkbook Information wizard click the Advanced
button.
The Printing Options tab of the Checkbook Advanced Setup dialog will allow
you to add a second signature line or to add specialized text below the amount
or above the signature line of checks.
Checking the Print second line if the signature is blank box will add
a second signature line if you have set the signature type to blank in step
5 of the Edit Checkbook wizard (this will have no effect if you have selected
image, text or CheckScape as the signature style.). Checking the Print special
message below the amount as text line will allow you to print whatever
message is selected in the Special message field. By clicking the ellipsis
button ("...") next to the field you can add your own text to be printed.
The Alignment option will allow you to determine if the special message
text is left aligned or centered under the text amount line of the check.
Checking the Print the following text above the signature(s) box will add the
text you select in the field below it (here again, by clicking the ellipsis
button ("...") next to the field you can add your own text to be printed).
You can set the text to appear only when the amount of the check exceeds a certain
value by entering that amount in the last field. Adding a text message for requiring
two signatures will not change the check style or
signature images set up in the last step of the Edit Checkbook
wizard. (For example, in the case pictured above, printing a check for over
$1000.00 will not automatically add a second signature line, it simply adds
the text "Two Signatures Required" above the signature area.)
